hey you left and you didnt say goodnight :(
The little girl sniffles a bit, but calms down enough to tell him her name.
"That's a pretty name," Wolf says, then asks, "you here with mommy or daddy?"
"Mommy…" she recoils, peeking at each of them in turn, "you're the Payday gang. I saw you on the TV."
"We sure are!" Wolf smiles, and Bain starts frantically searching the police comms for chatter of a mother missing her child. It might take him some time as their main priority will be on finding the gang and neutralising the threat, but he gets to work anyway because it’s worth a shot, and no one else has any better ideas.
"But you're the bad guys. You shoot the policemen."
Wolf's plonks himself down on the floor properly so he’s sitting next to her. "No, we only kill the bad cops. There are bad police, did you know that? But they look just like normal police."
Dallas looks between the unlikely pair in disbelief. How could a guy go from barely being able to convince security that everything was normal, to pulling the wool over a child's eyes? And the kid was hanging on his every word, too.
The little girl listens to Wolf's explanation about good cops and bad cops, and she accepts it. "If you were bad guys, you'd hurt me," she says, solemnly.
"Yup! And we haven’t, right? Because we’re not the bad guys. Not really." Wolf frowns. “But everyone thinks we are...”
Bain stops scolding Wolf long enough (”They’ll interrogate her for hours trying to get a police sketch, goddamnit!”) to explain: "Alright. This is gonna work like a hostage trade. One of you take the girl to the only female officer they have working the event, she's waiting down the hall. Unarmed, as per agreement."
Wolf lets the girl stand up on her own, and Chains agrees to be the one to take her down the hallway - he was wearing the thickest vest, and despite Bain having eyes on the area, he didn’t want to take any chances - and Wolf waves her off as she leaves the closet.
They wait until Chains returns. Wolf clambers up from his place on the floor, and collects his gun.
“You were real good with her,” Chains says, admiringly. “Must be the experience from having your own kids.”
Wolf considers Chains for a while. Dallas and Hoxton freeze and as surreptitiously as they can inch closer in case Wolf yells and snaps.
Instead, he says simply, “They weren’t mine, Chains.”
He snaps the mask back into place, pumps his shotgun once, and quips, “Now let’s kill some bad guys.”

Garrett Barnes had a whole lot of 6:36mins screentime in which he wanted to abandon your sorry ass three times and disobeyed his boss twice.
That’s exactly my muse-width.
So while Santi regrets wasting his money on me, I will take this opportunity to show off my beauty
*In the back* Little does Flavio know that I enjoy making him happy

queenie wants a girl.
she wants a girl that doesn’t walk like an apology
she wants a girl who can learn from her mistakes
a girl who can love. that’s all. there is no greater expectation.
she doesn’t have to be pretty, she doesn’t have to be smart.
she just has to care, even a little.
she wants a girl who can make her laugh, chase the clouds away.
she wants a girl who can fight like a girl.
a girl that is made of herself, strong is she pleases or soft if she’d rather.
she doesn’t have to need fixing, because she’s not broken.
she can stand on her own two feet and walk high above the world.
how her smile looks doesn’t matter, and she doesn’t have to smile often
she wants a girl that won’t make up her mind because the world is made of change.
a girl who will dance with her, remind her what it’s like to be alone with someone else’s joy.
she just wants a girl.
