First CritRole Halloween ever ! They all look good, Matt and Travis are especially incredible, and of course Sam doesn't know it yet, but this moustache will live on forever, even if forever ain't on his face.
interesting to see that Matt took the opportunity of Tiberius' actor disappearing to real in the rest of his cast about the use of metagaming. That actor in particular was the worst at it, so I do think he took the chance to make his players learn about what their PCs would or wouldn't know. Some were already pretty respectful of the frontier (Travis), others leaned into metagaming a bit but not too much (Marisha in this instance about the vampire mist), and Sam is the complete opposite of metagaming with his insistance that Scanlan doesn't know things... when he does know things.
Sam : "So, here's the thing. Here's the thing. I should probably leave. (unhinged) But come on, I'm a triceratops !!! I've got to have some fun first, right ?"
(narrator voice : and he sure did)
Sam ships it (and so am I) :
too real, that episode has some JUICY conversations !! and now harpies
that they chose to come back to Nicodranas was both the most sensible plan (they need to hire a crew otherwise they're fucked to do anything with this ship) and the craziest plan (coming back to the scene of the crime), and it's a wonder how it worked out okay.
I love this New York live show's ad, because Sam and Ashley singing together a parody of "Dear Theodosia" always is excellent, and also because mere seconds before they launch the opening credits, we can hear this gem from Sam :
