It was sweet that Astarion was under the belief that no one would figure out he was a vampire before his big reveal. Most of us took one look at him and said "yep, that sure is a vampire right there." Most, however, doesn't include the party members. Some of these characters are supposed to be perceptive and intelligent, and I'm still convinced that if you press your ear against theirs you'd hear elevator music.

Ew Jiyongs manager posted for seungri’s bday. Waiting to see if I have to drop any other members today

It was actually BB’s bodyguard, Jaeho, and he deleted the tweet shortly after. Heard KVIPs made quick work of it. Not that I would have cared much if he’d left it up. BB’s bodyguard is not BB.

The only reason I’m posting this days-old ask is because I just want to say it never even occurred to me that the members would post anything for his birthday until I had people all up in asks worrying about it. In fact, I forgot it was even his birthday… until, again, y’all kept reminding me. I mean, GD didn’t even post anything publicly for TOP’s birthday (and I distinctly remember some very entitled VIPs on Twitter being all butthurt about it)… so why the hell would he post something for Seungri’s. That would have been absolutely crazy for any of them to do.

IDK y’all, I’m just not worried. And you know what, here’s something else that’s been on my mind. Jiyong had someone take pics of him studying the artwork at a feminist art exhibit just the other day and shared them to his public Instagram. One of the more powerful images being that of him standing before “Your body is a battleground.” It amazes me that people think he’s going to come out and link himself publicly and professionally to someone like Seungri after he showed us his true colors this year. Seungri, who refuses to acknowledge or apologize to the women whose lives are forever changed by his and his friends’ actions. Who showed them not a single scrap of sympathy in all his interviews and public statements, of which there was no shortage. Who even blamed and belittled the whistleblower and the (highly respected) journalist who exposed them for their crimes against women and played a vital role in bringing them to justice.

He genuinely thinks he’s the biggest victim in all this. This is plain as day in the interviews he gave. His fans complain that he was made the face of the scandal, but let’s face it, he helped cement that by being so outspoken. None of the others accused sat down for lengthy interviews, only Seungri, and his message was essentially “woe is me”. With the biggest case of foot-in-mouth syndrome I’ve ever seen he made sure he went out with a bang… and in doing so shamed himself and everyone connected to him. Everyone with a shred of sense, that is.

Jiyong has shown us that he’s trying to learn and grow. That he’s making an effort to understand. Seungri, on the other hand, has made it quite clear this year that he has no interest in doing the same; his only interest is himself. It’s been said again and again that for the other four he is career poison. If they want to talk to him in secret, that’s one thing, but I think it’s safe to say it’s going to be a long time before they post about him again publicly, if ever.
