speak on anna in 5x04 I Am No Longer Asking
this is very rambly and I had to remind myself of the Actual Plot of the episode and not just the bits you can insert kisses into
essentially I am most interested in how Anna’s presence as a mostly-positive mentor in humanness changes endverse!cas and his relationship with dean. like. I think this would never have happened in canon (esp if you believe it’s not the actual future, but a timeline zachariah crafted specifically to make dean say yes) because anna would mean cas isnt completely miserable, and I very much like the idea that endverse!cas is zachariah insinuating that dean will ruin him.
I think there are two ways to insert anna into this episode, and I can’t decide what I like more.
the first is that anna is part of the camp, and this way i think you lose cas running the sex cult, because it is now anna’s sex cult where cas is just there, and this could be very fun because anna will side with cas against dean simply for the vibes. anna desperately believes they can save humanity but also does not care about dean winchester or the way he has constructed his hypermasculine persona. it is strongly implied anna has her own plan to save the world and is simply there until it is no longer convenient for her to be. anna would not go on their little death march and would try to convince cas not to. with anna i think you could also throw in a few scenes referencing grace based magic ala DTA. but you get a cas who isn’t totally cut off from his family and has some self worth and at least one scene where anna offers dean a blunt. like. also cas is explicitly gay for dean because anna would encourage all of his worst dean based ideas.
a second option is like. anna intercepts dean before he reaches bobby’s house and offers to take him to the camp, etcetera, we get some exposition through her, but it turns out she has just kidnapped him in order to start a coup at the camp and take command. i dont know if this would be a good episode but it would be very funny to me, personally. this could serve as foreshadowing for an au where anna does godstiel instead
