There’s something so beautiful about the conversation right after the kiss. In the way that we all know this moment’s huge for Buck, but Tommy takes the lead, doesn’t let him spiral, or overthink, or be nervous about what it means. Tommy keeps him grounded, invites him out, tells him about his shift. He touches him, straightening his shirt, which is such an ‘earth to Buck’ kinda moment. It’s so soft ???
Okay but Mistborn did the Chosen One trope really well. Like, you read about Alendi in his diary, and he’s your classic overused fantasy Chosen One, but then you find out that Rashek was actually the one who survived. Chosen One trope overturned. But wait there’s more because Brandon does the exact same thing to Vin in the second two books. You spend the entirety of Well of Ascension watching Vin convince herself (and Sazed) that she is the Chosen One. And you believe it. It makes sense, the prophecies line up, she’s the main character, etc. BUT HE FLIPS THE SCRIPT AGAIN AT THE END OF THE THIRD BOOK WHEN WE FIND OUT IT WAS ACTUALLY FREAKING SAZED ALL ALONG. CHOSEN ONE TROPE OVERTURNED TWICE. IN THE SAME TRILOGY.

this was perfect. this was absolutely perfect.
the amount of emotion in this scene is unreal. axel's acting is incredible, it felt so fucking real and raw and just wow. I love everything about this scene, the fact that lucas finally let go and just exploded all of his emotions and finally talked, i love how comforting mika & manon are and how they just radiate pure love and I love this entire dialogue. wow. this just felt like a weight was lifted off of lucas shoulders and I feel so fucking relieved for him. also lisa's little "oh wait your gay?" moment was iconic !!! i am so fucking impressed by everything about this scene.
did this just become my favourite scene of the season ? I think tf YES
