happy pride month to everyone, even me though i’m only out to a handful of people. my sexuality is something i really struggled with in early middle school, and eventually towards the end of it i came to a term that suited me best at the time, bisexual. over the years since i’ve gone back and forth, invalidating and questioning myself. “you’ve never even tried to be with a girl” “you get stronger crushes on guys then you do girls” “you shouldn’t have a girlfriend if you’re too scared to come out to important people in your life. i’ve been outed to people i didn’t choose to be out to, i’ve had people assume my sexuality, ask me what i was instead of letting me tell them, and i’ve done the hard thing of telling people. in the last few months i’ve come to terms with the fact that my sexuality is no ones business but my own. so what if i happen to catch feelings for boys more than girls, i still am attracted to girls. i can identify myself as whatever i feel good with, and come out when i’m ready. i love being queer, and i love loving people. so yeah, happy pride month.
I added this post to my queue thinking about @balaenabooks but I didn't know if they'd feel comfortable to be tagged in the post...and now that they saw the post and rebbloged I'm like yeeeeey :)
