He should've been watching him more carefully. Sure, Liam was plenty capable of looking after himself, but that didn't excuse the fact that Henry should've been watching him. Kids climb things all the time, including trees, it's just in their nature. What horrified him though, was the loud thud that he heard as Liam suddenly fell, his head colliding with the ground.
He almost immediately ran over, holding Liam's limp body in his arms as he examined him. He was completely still, and his thirium pump was almost as still as he was. As an older model though, he was unable to detect that, instantly assuming the worst as his eyes watered and he stared down at Liam's face. His eyes were closed.
