my biggest pet peeve ever: when fanfic authors or large editors act like celebrities when ppl appreciate their writing or content… whole time we’re all a bunch of losers part of the same fandom writing about or editing characters in stories that have already been made 🌝

but back to the main point — WDYM YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED AOT? 😭 GIRL 🤨

it’s literally the best anime — scrap that, even — best show i’ve ever encountered, ever. like ik i write a lot for jjk (mainly ‘cause the hype and popularity for it is still here) but jjk genuinely does not get close to aot in any way. aot is brain-chemistry-altering 😧

‘ur writing is so peak, you write it, i read it’ — first off: 🥹🫶🏽 ily, and i’m over the moon that you still compliment my writing when i’m sitting on my butt not writing rn (i’ll get to it i promise 🥴), but i have to stop you right there…

i love love love love LOVEEE soano. like as much as i love liar, liar, i love writing soano sm more (‘cause it’s mainly just crack and less plot 😋 excluding the canon parts ofc). it’s also my first piece of writing altogether, so no matter how many other pieces i work on after both fics, soano will always have a place in my heart my other works will never be able to touch (in the nicest way possible lmaoo 😟)

that being said, i must repeat… it was my first ever piece of work, so i HATEEE my writing when i look back and i’ve been putting off editing it for a whileeee now 🙁

so honestly, take ur time before choosing to read that story. it’s got a lot of editing to go under that i haven’t even begun yet.

but if you do choose to read it… er… read with caution for two reasons:

the writing is so ass and you can tell when you compare it to the quality and level of vocabulary used in the recent liar, liar chapters

y/n in soano is UNHINGED and will probably scare you ‘cause she scares me when i write her 💀

“you’re doing it on purpose.”

“huh?”

“i should’ve known.”

“i’m confused.”

“when are you not?”

you blinked up at him, baffled as your chest heaved up and down. nobody told you that the captain was that good at hand-to-hand, and now you had to pay the price, spine burning with pain and stomach flipped over in exhaustion.

he stood over you, the pool of grey in his eyes darkening in realisation.

“get up,” he demanded icily.

“help me up,” you shot back, lip curling.

his eyebrows rose, and for the first time, you saw the tiniest bit of emotion protruding from the man you knew to be void of any feelings. he scowled, eyes narrowing as he nudged your leg with his foot.

“are you aware of just how annoying you are?” he asked you, still as monotoned as ever.

you laughed, taking him by mild surprise.

“not annoying enough to have you ignore me, apparently.”

and you noticed, with satisfaction blooming in your drained body, how he did not bother denying it.

i know a lot of you are waiting for the new chapter of start of a new obsession. i’m about 6-7k words in, i want it to reach about 12k words and then i’ll post it. i can’t exactly promise that it’ll be out soon bc i don’t really think it will.

side note: i’m working on two other fics so…

but i promise i’m not abandoning soano, i intend to finish it even if it takes me a decade (probably will LMFAO).

i don’t usually post random thoughts but it just hit me that on this day last year, the first chapter of start of a new obsession was released :o

the funny thing is, bc of how long each chapter is (save for the first one, ‘cause that was like 3-4k) i’ve only managed to release 5 in the past year LMFAO

i have so many plans for this story and i’ll be so real rn, it’ll probably take a few years before it’s *completely* finished, but i don’t plan on abandoning it at all :)

anyway, for the small few that are here reading the fic (and showing it love by reblogging, liking, giving it kudos on ao3) i see you and i love you and i am very grateful that you’re here <333
