What is the pattern for the yellow blanket you're crocheting? It looks fab!!!
@soap-da-soap Ah, thank you!! And I can’t find the website I got the pattern off of, but it’s just this:
Using worsted weight acrylic (I used Caron One Pound and Loops & Threads Impeccable Big, you could very easily swap for chunky yarn if you want a thicker blanket) and 10mm hook
Row 2: sc a foundation row (insert hook into 2nd st from hook) for a total 121 st
Row 3: sc into first st, *skip 3 st, 5 dc’s into 4th st, skip 3, sc. Rep from * to end of row (should end with a sc)
Row 4: 3 dc’s into 1st st, *skip 3 st, sc into 4th st, skip 3, 5 dc’s into 4th st. Rep from * to end of row (3 dc’s into last st instead of 5)
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until it’s as long as you like, then finish with a scalloped edging around the whole piece :) I’ve made this afghan twice now, once with only one strand of yarn and once with two strands (the yellow one). For the first, after about 1400m of yarn I was satisfied with the length, but using two yarns crocheted together really upped the amount needed. I’ve currently put 1500m of yarn into it and am going to add about 500m more. It’s so lovely and plush with the two strands, though! I hope this helps you, it’s a super fun pattern and works up fairly quickly!
