Visiting Sobeck Ranch.

Looking at some stuff along the way, like weird handles hanging in the air (some people have recorded Nora fighting bandits there, standing on thin air xD), and the stretch of road that we see Aloy on before she arrives at the ranch. It looks like Sobeck Ranch is set on a triangular patch, too, not a square one.

Sorry this is a little later in the day. Work was...a lot today. I wrote on my one break and then had to get it all edited up. It’s here now, though. 

And...it’s a bit of a filler chapter, though a lot of really important things for the future happen.

Welcome to the first chapter of Sobeck Ranch. I have absolutely NO idea where this story will go. All I do know is that it begins after Zero Dawn and will not follow canon Forbidden West events. 

Also, because I am often times inspired by pictures, each chapter will be linked to a piece of artwork by the amazingly talented @godliath. Today’s picture can be found in THIS set of photos and is the last one.

Thank you to my wonderful beta and friend, @teddyshoney, for looking over this even though she’s never played the game and only knows what I’ve told her about the characters. 

SUMMARY: After the battle at the Spire, Aloy travels to Elisabet’s homestead to figure out what she wants to do with her life now that the world is no longer in danger. It’s there that she realizes she wants Erend in it permanently. Hopefully, he feels the same way.

I am hoping to get yesterday and today’s chapters written and posted by the end of the day. I think I’ve figured out where this story will end, too, though I still have only a vague idea of how it will get there.

Getting to Sobeck Ranch. (edit : new version, with sound)

(This is a shortened version, I have a longer vid on my channel starting way earlier showing all the weirdish terrain I went through to get there. I went there from the Horus in the Embrace, but I cut most of the night parts, so not all of it is there.)

Roaming south west of the map to get to Sobeck Ranch, long version. Mostly going through weird terrain on foot and looking around. I didn’t really take any picts during this, except the ones I already posted nearing the ranch. Watch if you’re a fan of Aloy walking and occasionally whacking wildlife to get some meat (I was trying to make a travel pack, i didn’t have the purple one then…) XD The vid cuts after arriving at the ranch and finding Liz.
