Ramzi Mallat - 'Sobhiye'
Shot in Lebanon between October 2019 and August 2021, this short documentary follows the daily life of five individuals located in Tripoli, Bekaa and Sour, shedding light on the personal hardships caused by the tumultuous socio-political crises that have unravelled in the country.
The film also featured in the 'Official Selection' of the Scarab Film Festival in Dubai, UAE, the Story International Student Film Festival in Cork, Ireland and the Lebanese Independent Film Festival in Beirut, Lebanon.
'Sobhiye' will be screened as part of 'Fault Lines', a solo exhibition by Ramzi Mallat at P21 Gallery from 9 to 25 November 2023.
