but I'm wanting to do something that incorporates magical realism via Voodoo elements BUT I am reading a shit ton of stuff on the history of Voodoo/Hoodoo etc. because I want to make sure that I make everything historically accurate and not distorted by common misconceptions about what Voodoo was (of which there are many).
