It's not often that Fudou has someone nearby when he wakes up in the middle of the night in a state of anguish and panic. Normally when this happens he just drinks himself back to unconsciousness and wakes up extremely hungover (which then, of course, leads him to continue drinking).

He hadn't intended to burden anyone else with his woes. Not like this, anyway. He'd tried to remain quiet, but when he notices Kashagiri finally start to doze off, he panics and speaks up-- though just barely.

"I..."

He knows everyone he's ever been within earshot of has heard and been sick of how much he talks about Oda Nobunaga. So he hesitates.

"I just... I had a bad dream," he concedes, but the waver in his quiet voice remains. "Can you stay awake with me for a little bit?"
