Leaning into stereotypes makes you a better hustler. As Chris Hadnagy tells us in the science of human hacking, you don’t want them to think. You want to access their hind brain, where all of their preconceived notions are. The less they have to think, the better. I’m a hijabi, so when I sold the “innocent little Muslim girl is secretly a slut” fantasy, they bought it book like and sinker, particularly the Indian men I was with. That was their preconceived notion about me, so they were more likely to believe me when I told them that’s what I was.
