Me too
I'm going to retire from GNC.
Do you have a set routine for lifitng currently?
Dude, I really should seeing as how my competition is coming up, but I just can’t be arsed to follow a set routine at the moment (which may bite me in the ass come showtime, who knows).
Using the idea of intuitive training, and Lonnie Lowery’s idea of bodybuilding as “weak point fortification”, as a methodological cover for my organizational laziness, I construct my workouts over the week based on these rules:
Make sure you deadlift HEAVY
Make sure you do a medium intensity squat variation
Make sure you do one high intensity-medium volume chest exercise, and one medium intensity-high volume exercise
Make sure you do two back exercises according to the same principles as chest exercises
Shoulders, shoulders, shoulders. Heavy, hard, and often.
That usually cashes out to having 60-80 reps per body part, per week.
TL;DR No, I don’t really have a set routine, but there is order hidden in my chaos.
