Ignorance
Over the past week I’ve been pretty quiet, especially in public. This gave me a lot of time to observe people in social circumstances. I cannot believe how ignorant people are...
First off there were nurses at a family doctors office that were completely disrespectful to an elderly couple. The couple lived in a retirement and asked the nurses kindly to call them a cab. After an hour of waiting they asked if they could call the cab company again and the nurses acted like it was a big deal. The elderly couple was worried about not making it back in time for lunch and therefore not having anything to eat. They tried to explain this to the nurses and they still had no interest in helping them. It drives me crazy that young to middle aged people don’t care for the elderly. They are helpless, especially with the growth in technology over the past decade. I feel like we all should respect the elderly for everything they’ve done for the world thus far. We should also be encouraged to help them since they helped those younger than them for a large portion of their life.
Another moment of ignorance is simple noise respect. I don’t mean to be ignorant when saying this but if you speak another language, you should be able to talk at the same noise level as everyone else and not shout while you're talking. Especially if you’re in a quiet place.
I’m just fed up with how people are these days. There is so much unnecessary disrespect and it only gets worse as time goes by. I really hope future generations see this (as I do), learn from it and correct themselves if they ever do it without thinking.
