laura is so used to viewing her words as currency that it shocks her, how unbothered --- how almost apathetic --- @sociofame seems about her silence. it's not that she doesn't want to talk: of course she wants to, needs to. she hasn't been uncooperative with the doctors, or the special agents (to the surprise of none more than laura herself), but all she feels now is bone-deep exhaustion.
