Out Of Shock Blankets
I owe people, but I've lost threads... Notes exploded on something else, yesterday, and I lost replies (which I meant to draft) So, if I owe you, please send it over my way...

slip of the tongue;
He's just solved another murder: lover did it, estranged, vengeful. Passionate but predictable and over all not very thrilling in the end.
Still, there was no question that Lestrade needed him and so, he'd taken the case, given that no others were presenting themselves -- at the very least, his mind would not rot away entirely. Now, however, it was what only could be described as an incredibly lazy Sunday evening. Sherlock had dressed down slightly, sans coat, and sat comfortably within his chair, newspaper in hand, tea on the table.
His work was never truly finished, but he found some odd fascination looking at the obituaries. Mrs. Hudson found it improper, but then again, nothing about him was defined as normal by most. Normal for him, maybe, but certainly not society.
It had been precisely three days since he'd last eaten more then a biscuit or crisps, and his stomach was beginning to protest; clenching uncomfortably, reminding Sherlock that his vessel required certain things to function, while everything else was just luxury. Oh, how tedious it was being human. "John," His call-out was smooth and sturdy, eyes never leading the paper. "Fancy some take-away? Rather in the mood for some Thai, and I suppose I must waste some time on a proper meal."

Isn’t every day one of those days? - JW
Most days it's just a nagging need.
