pretty much the whole book is like this + awkward sex scenes and angst

that doesn't sound good at all, i've thought about reading it because some people recommended it to me but i don't think i want to anymore after seeing this

I must admit that I have never read the book but wow that was so pretentious and badly done, no wonder that everyone is mad

The backstory of the first avatar sounds like an incredibly interesting concept. I hope they don’t screw it up and rush this season this time around.

it sure sounds very interesting and from what i have seen the telling of this story will have a very distinct art style which is pretty nice! i am also curious to see how the story of the first avater will be connected to korra. the second season has more episodes than the previous one so the writers hopefully planned the script accordingly. otherwise it would be a waste of good plot material once again.

yeah, like i want to be excited but the first season did so much wrong and since the writers didn't even seem to realize how badly they wasted the good potential of the show, i don't expect much
