Update: I have heard the album but I’m gonna leave my review for later once I’ve had a few listens. There’s soooooo much to process and my brain always needs a few goes at a U2 album to form a solid opinion. More often than not it’s a slow fall in love. So far I’m agreed with @beachsequence on standout tracks and the idea that they could have released fewer singles/teasers. Would have loved to hear some of those in their album context first. 

BUT that said, some VERY preliminary thoughts:

-LOVE the studio version of Little Things

-Love Is All We Have Left is sooooooooo good

-I like the grooviness and punchy rhythms they’re exploring on those middle tracks (Red Flag Day heyoooo)

-A little underwhelmed by quite a few of the choruses, esp the middle tracks 

-Love Is Bigger is also great

-Not yet sold on Landlady or Showman
