ok but really i love the followthrough with the cousland storyline like arl howe is the one who slaughters cousland’s family

and cousland is able to get retribution

and i’m a sucker for a good vengeance story, i love seeing characters that angry

and i just...imagining sofia and olivia during that battle like....livy up until that point was always so angry and bitter about what happened (she’s also kind of angry and bitter that now her big sis is in charge of her safety but w/e) and she would vent and go on at length about all the things she would do to arl howe if she ever got her hands on him. and sofi would shoot her this concerned look because she hates seeing her little sister like that

so sofi keeps calm and collected because she needs to be, she needs to be the rock for her little sister, and she won’t verbally condone desires of arl howe’s demise (even though she completely abhors the man). but then that confrontation comes. livy freezes up because she’s just so overwhelmed and and sofi is the one who is brutally carving into his body, long after she’s decapitated him, angry tears streaming down her face. she actually has to be physically pulled away and neither of them are 100% there afterwards and after escaping from prison both of them lock themselves in their (separate) rooms to cry, telling people to go away (livy) or just not responding (sofi) when companions come to check on them 

and once they’ve both cried themselves dry, livy knocks on sofi’s door and the two just sit together, in silence at first, but then they start reminiscing about their mom and dad and fergus and this is literally the first time since sofi joined the wardens and livy got dragged along for the ride that the two hug and it’s the first time since livy was little that she tells sofi that she loves her and i just uuuuuugggghhhhhhhh

i get very emotional over good sibling relationships, even when they’re my ocs

modern au alistair would take sofia to the zoo for their first date not knowing exactly what he’s getting into and she drags him to where the elephants are and they just spend hours there and she starts telling him all about elephants and she eventually gets into a conversation with one of the zookeepers (which is when alistair sneaks off to grab food for the two of them) and they eventually make their way around to see other animals

and on their way out, while sofia is in the bathroom, alistair goes into the gift shop and buys her this huge stuffed elephant and he asked the person behind the counter if they had any ribbon or anything to tie around it’s neck and he presents it to her when she comes out of the restroom and she covers her mouth with her hands and gasps because she really wasn’t expecting him to get her anything and they’re both blushing really hard and leans down to kiss him on the cheek and says thank you

Sofia

1. What is one thing others might find intolerable about them?

she can be really absent minded sometimes and she gets lost in her haid pretty easily, which makes zevran laugh sometimes because she’ll almost literally have her head in the clouds but it gets frustrating because that’s really not a trait that a grey warden or the queen of ferelden should have. She’s also kind of spoiled, i mean she grew up rich and had a bit of a hard time adapting to sleeping on bedrolls and constantly being covered in blood and mud, and she was very vocal about it too, which drove morrigan up the wall.

20. What is a self-inflicted misery of theirs? (i.e. something they perpetuate themselves)

she’s haunted by the thought that she should have saved her mother and father, that had she done something different, that maybe they’d still be alive and she wouldn’t be elbow deep in darkspawn 

Antonio

11. What are their intellectual shortcomings?

omg… well… he’s not booksmart if that’s what this is asking. He can read and write just fine, but is selectively good at problem solving. He doesn’t know how to play chess and probably shouldn’t be invited to tea with the nobles, but give him a deck of cards for wicked grace and some people to play with and he’ll clean them out and leave them with not even the lint in their pockets.

18. Are they ever a pushover about something? If so, how?

omg no not really, Tonio is a stubborn idiot and may oftentimes refuse just out of pure spite. But if it’s something that really matters he’ll do it.

Voski

2. Do they have any annoying quirks? If so, what are they?

he whistles to fill silence and it’s cute and all at first because sometimes he’ll come up with little tunes that make cole smile and bounce his head up and down but sometimes it’ll just be a single droning sound that’s half a step below an actual note and it echoes off the stone walls in skyhold so like everyone hears it. Josie has taken to keeping a stash of earplugs in her desk drawers.

15. How might they be ignorant or prejudiced?

he grew up dalish and became a hunter so almost all interactions he’s had with humans have been hostile, and when they weren’t hostile, there was an underling feeling of mistrust and dislike. He opens up over time (kind of has to as the inquisitor), but he still makes a point to be as ignorant as possible about humans/human customs around the orlesian nobility because fuck if he’s going to let them talk to him like that, if he was still with the clan and ran into them he would have probably killed (or at least mildly maimed) them for saying some of those things
