Thranduil walked his gardens his robe trailing the ground softly behind him. The birds sang a happy tune quiet in the late afternoon cool. Thranduil had gone on a patrol with his guard for a short time that day slaying the wretched spiders with no signs of orcs at the moment. He felt the tips of newly opened flowers and rested under the protection of a willow tree. He felt even more closed off from the world and more at peace. Thranduil felt at peace when he was alone but today he wished for some company.
He thought of Sofia and wished she would discover him here. He knew she knew he frequented the gardens after long days. They were his brief escape from his duties as king.
