12 – Sofie

Sofie’s elimination wasn’t horrid, she performed worse in the challenge than Belinda, and while her photo is stronger, it is riddled with much the same issues. It is the same wide-eyed expression you often see in these early shoots, with the only positive being that this is a more flattering angle for her than Belinda’s shot was of her. The pose is okay too, but there is tension in the arms and hands, especially the one in the pocket. Contrasted with how relaxed and soft Montana feels, Sofie looks like she is on the nerve of running off. If she had stayed, I definitely think there was potential for improvement, but far from the worst first elimination we’ve had.

Sofie had little chance of surviving the first episode after having a tough time in the initial runway challenge and following that up with a stiff and disappointing photo. Even if she was spared I don’t know how much farther she could’ve gone since she didn’t really stand out to me as having major potential. Sofie leaving the competition first was a logical decision.

12. Sofie

Sofie is a big ball of nerves in this picture. Her entire body is so rigid, as if she hates being in contact with Montana, and that hand in the pocket just looks bizarre. Her face actually photographed well, but unfortunately her fearful expression ruins it. Sofie’s elimination made complete sense after struggling in the runway challenge and turning in a lackluster shot.
