Soft Card/Serve is confusing me. I like being able to buy stuff from vending machines using my phone but I can never tell how much credit I actually have on this thing.
Yesterday I had $1.25 left on my serve card and I bought a $1 candy bar. Up until about 3min ago it said I had $0 on my card. So I added a dollar to buy another and it said there was an error and it couldn't complete my transaction. I check and I have $2.25. The dollar I added, a dollar credit for who-knows-where and the quarter they took from me for no reason yesterday.
I KEEP getting these dollar credits and I don't know why. Free money is cool but I get worried that it's an error or something hasn't gone through and I'm going to spend this and it won't be there or something. I don't know if serve will just take the remainder from my linked debit card or what.
A lot of work for an over-priced candy bar. I just wanted some chocolate.
[edit]: It's also really tempting to want to use it, though. For every 4 purchases I get a free purchase. Of course, I would never have bought anything at all from this vending machine if not for the ability to press my phone against it to do so. So... in the end I'm spending more anyway.
Still. I got chocolate.
