Thinking about Frankie and or your AU Frankie being standoffish around kids but doing nice things for them anyway, thanklessly, because he’s good. Thinking about him being quiet in groups but somebody that loves him can see that his quick mind is leaps ahead of everybody around him.

I think Frankie is weary around kids out of fear of scaring them, but he loves kids. Frankie, as I’ve said before, gives me so much of that lovely calm man vibe that I know I love, but lots of kids really latch onto that.

For Frontier Frankie, I think he absolutely loves kids, but tries to keep away from them, not wanting to scare them or do something wrong. He’s probably really careful around the really small ones.

I mentioned Annabelle in Temptation of Bliss and I imagine her as a really sweet, quiet girl who has latched herself onto him, much to his concern. She always follows behind him with big, bright eyes eager to learn things. He’s nervous whenever he catches her, but will inevitablly sit and show her how to make knots, tend oxen, catch fish.

Any iteration of Frankie is definitely smart, the man is a pilot for godsakes. He definitely can spot where things are going miles ahead of everyone else, in good situations or bad. I think that would also make him exceptional at parcing out the mischief kids are going to get into. 😉

But Frankie finally feeling comfy around kids makes me soft!!!! 🥺
