Reyla had become quite a popular individual in the days following her so called “heroic” incident with Captain Dameron and Prince Kylo. It certainly wasn’t how she expected to be noticed among those in court. The odd looks and sneer gestures from those standing close by only deepened and confirmed her fears.
“You look troubled, milady.” Prince Kylo murmured in a low voice as he stood next to her by the main entrance to the throne room.
Truth, be known since this incident in the gardens, the Prince had become enamored with Lady Reyla; seeing her for her exquisite wit and charm rather than for her stature.
"I had not expected that my heroism in the gardens would make me such a target among those in the court." Reyla murmured nervously; catching a hundred pairs of eyes glaring in her direction. Some were appreciative for her act of bravery, while others just looked at her with disdain.
"Would it help if I said that I knew exactly how you felt?"
Looking up at him after he uttered these words, Reyla was graced with the true beauty that Prince Kylo possessed. His eyes though black as night; held within them a gently softness.Needless to say, she was rather thoroughly entranced by his good-hearted nature.
"I live this every single day." He addressed; mocking all those who stared at the pair of them with repugnance.
Has the prince completely gone mad?! What a disgrace! The King, no doubt, will want to teach his son a valuable lesson on this matter!
My goodness, would you just look at the hem of that girl's dress! Six inches deep in mud--she looks positively medieval!
"It must be difficult, Your Highness--with all those expectations, of course." Reyla murmured.
"You get used to it or in my case--" He paused as he did his best to keep his grin suppressed, the whole thing really and truly was indeed a big joke to him. "---you tend to bend the rules just a little because you really have nothing else better to do."
