FIFTY WAYS TO KISS SOMEONE;  accepting.  @ruinaa​ asked for elliot and got:  a kiss in public. 

          he had always excelled in school.  back then,  in the south,  with his small stature and his grades and his kindness and people finding out about how he liked both boys and girls and the millions of other little things that kids looked at him differently for  --  he never had a chance to really shine.  and when josephine went missing,  his education had been put on a complete standstill.  

          but in two years,  he had gathered everything he needed for his ged,  and he had done it.  with the professors guidance,  he had then gotten his bachelors,  and moved onto medical school,  a place he never thought he would be.  his choice to help people in this way,  with his mutation,  seemed the most logical.  and now,  another four gone,  he had graduated  --  the only thing left was his time to serve in a residency.  

          josephine cries when she gets to him,  throwing her arms around his neck.  she had supported his decisions,  of course,  though she didn’t have much to say when he told her how much the professor was helping him out as he saw his potential.  he knew better to press on that,  so they had focused on the good of it all.  the hard parts,  him studying late and being exhausted half the time,  but she made sure to do what she could by ordering him food or sending him supportive texts.  she made things a little easier as his shoulder to lean on. 

           he pretends to make a fuss when she grabs his face and presses a kiss to his cheeks and forehead,  but they’ve never shied away from affection.  “  --  thanks,  josephine.  “  elliot says,  his smile wide.  “  love. you.  “

he  had  found  out  not  too  long  ago  that  el  was  liked  when  people  played  with  her  hair,  just  like  he  did.   so  when  she  was  feeling  down  will  tried  that  trick  to  cheer  her  up.   they  were  both  in  will’s  bed,  unable  to  sleep  from  nightmares  that  plagued  both  of  them.   ‘   what  did  you  and  max  do  today ?   ’    he  asks  trying  to  get  her  mind  off  the  nightmare  that  woke  her  up,  while  his  fingers  were  tangled  up  in  her  hair  playing with  some  of  her  locks.
