[while my pyro isnt shipped with an engineer, im a texas toast bitch so i decided to post some headcanons related to the ship]
Their relationship would totally be a slow burn (no pun intended). Pyro being way too nervous to confess, and Engineer would also be too shy to admit to anything.
Pyro is the big spoon, Engie is the little spoon.
Pyro is overly protective of Engie, even when they don’t need to be.
Engie likes to work while Pyro is in the workshop as well. Their presence keeps him motivated.
Pyro will only take off their mask for Engie. No one else.
Similarly, Engie will only get personal with Pyro. He has a lot of hardships he only feels comfortable talking to Pyro about.
The truth come out, they absolutely love to cuddle after missions. Cuddles in a pillow fort they made together are normal!
Engie always makes the first moves. He initiated the first kiss, first date, etc.
The perfect date is a picnic outside the RED base, a handful of sentries protecting them, and Engie playing his guitar for Pyro as they tell stories.
