I can see the flowers and the greenery. I take a breath of air, I feel free. ( from bartz! )
the score 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳 vs. 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 of the magical mish - mash war of the worlds ? 𝚙𝚞𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚝 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 & 𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚘𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚐𝚘𝚍𝚜 dragged down on the negatives, but here’s a tally for the bright side : you breathe in the air, and it’s . . . easy. clear, if a little heady on the side of saturating so much sorcery past any point of coherent comprehension, but the sensation’s packaged polar opposite to any way he’d ever felt back home & in it’s the trembling turmoil, the pressure at his chest that the shared over - arching goal of ‘we all gotta make it back home’ could’ve shrunken in pressing priority . to Cloud, at least, for the moment where it strayed between complacent strides. “ you 𝘓𝘖𝘖𝘒 free, ” & there’s some belatedly 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 betrayal in disconnection from brain to mouth, from the flicker of Cloud very decidedly looking away, swaying off the chuffed soles of his boots in some physical amendment to a new abashed smile, “ i —— break time ? ”
𝘽𝙄𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙏, 𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙏'𝙎 𝘼 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝘿 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙄𝙏, for the happiness tiding & overlapping equal bouts of biting soberness, an ebb & flow in exchange between every squeezing pump of his heart . it’s a hefty epiphany, sprouted like a nagging weed down to the center of Cloud’s ribs, tenacious, un - drownable : he’ll regret having to leave this place. or . . . he’d just regret losing Bartz. ( ‘til the next synodic godly spat, maybe. )
