Bath w/ Bella

SHE HAS A big tub. He never realized this until they were both inside it, comfortable, not getting tangled up in each other's limbs and slipping all over the place in soap and water. He'd taken a kick to the stomach in the ambulance and hit his shoulder on the corner of the cabinet inside - no real damage, but the bruising on his shoulder means lifting his arm on that side sends hurt cascading up his back.

SO INSTEAD OF wrestling with the shower himself, he's between Bella's legs, head tilted back as she washes his hair for him. Her nails scratch gently against his scalp, and his eyes are closed as the sensation draws a pleased hum out of him, rattling up through the throat she takes care of him.

A FAINT SMILE turns up the corner of his face. "I ever tell you how I got this scar on my chin?"

He appears thoughtful as he flings his jacket over his shoulder and looks over into the beautiful scenery in the distance. Silent, for a moment, as he peers over to the girl by his side.

“Sorry if I’m bringin’ you down and being all... weird,” he states plainly. “I’ve been feeling kinda weird, thinkin’ about some stuff... you know. Don’t feel like focusing on that right now. I’d rather enjoy the moment with ya.” 

And he smiles softly, because he absolutely means it.

“I’m already feeling a little better, knowing I got you by my side like this.”

sigma’s eyes widen with some gentle surprise, but their expression quickly fades into a soft smile as they wrap their arms around the girl in turn. and it does help relieve some stress — a little boost of oxytocin to comfort and soothe as they close their eyes. “ are you doing alright, chiemi? ” while they’re under no illusion that this was for their sake, they can’t help but be concerned about her well-being as well.
