we have very hard water here. 18 degrees dH so a water softener had to be installed. moreover keeping the old water system up and running for today’s kitchen and bathroom and setting up the new system for the future bathrooms and kitchen has been challenging, but gato has figured it out and in the process created this beautiful tube sculpture. once the old system is shut down we’ll probably be able to sell it at sotherby’s for a gazzillion euros and live happily ever after. if not, we’ll live happily ever after, minus a gazzillion euros. this morning i ran the installation process and everything is working dandy. 6 degrees dH water now comes out of our faucets and will elongate the lifetimes of espresso machines, washers, water cookers and such like.
