and thus we start again. this year is a difficult one. after a rainy spring during flowering and pests from chinese stinkbugs and something that i call the crinkly leaves disease, caused by some insect that lays its eggs into the leaves, hardly anyone in the area has olives. rumors in the village have it that the price for oliveoil will top the 20 euro this year. we have little, but for household use it will be enough. the bad news is: it is just as much work with few olives as it is with many and again no helpers this year, since agriculture can’t be planned to meet vacations. the olives need to be harvested when they are ready. for us that is when they start to turn color. #oliveharvest2021 #lunigiana #tuscany #raccoltaolive — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/3kfrhyv
