My favorite thing to do when a Scene Most Evil is taking place is to draw up an analogous, light-hearted scene from the character's childhood. It makes the horrors more Starkly Contrasted💜

Fogpaw was so excited to have a couple moons to himself in the apprentice den with Willowpaw after how inseparable the trio had been as kits. He forgot that he was a late bloomer, but they sure didn't.

Soft-thistle is the daughter of a murderer. Her unfortunate bloodline, grim past and unsettling demeanor all combine to bewilder and stroke the curiosity of those around her. She's steadfast, unyielding in the face of forces that seek to hurt her, and devoted to nothing so fiercely as she is her family: LichenClan. If evil must be in her veins, she will use it for them.
