I had to get a root canal for one of my molars and they couldn’t numb the damn nerve. I was so numbed up that my eye was frozen open, but the nerve itself wasn’t numb. They had to crack through while I could still feel it and numb it directly. :(

i'm kinda appreciative of the only dental horror i've had being awkwardly choking after they stuck the saliva sucking hose almost down my throat

and also my general aversion to the tooth drilling smell
