Watch me obsess over these cast of characters. I'm already loving this new anime!

Hits the right spots for me tbh. The cast of characters are so lively too. Hope we get to know all of them eventually. And by that I mean I already want more than one season of this😂

The fact that I'm a Hakuoki fan too is making me happy watching this show hahaha!

Any kind of stat change can completely turn arround entire battles. Even if the boost or weakening effects is minimum, at the right timing and/or with the right monsters can completely turn arround entire Duels to our favor. There's all kinds of options to change the monsters' ATK and DEF with, going from massive boosts to always be on the lead in battles, to weak effects but that can become easy to work arround with in the right build. While not every Deck requires cards to strength or weaken monsters, is always a solid option to assure the best from our Battle Phase.

"Sogen" was one of the very first Field Spells to debut along the card game, and with the exclusion of "Umi" they became easily forgotten over the years. Like the rest of its kind "Sogen" provides a 200 ATK and DEF boost to a particular Type, in its case powering up all Beast-Warriors and Warriors on the field. Might not be much of a boost, but since affects both players it can be easy to work arround while getting the best of its benefits.

Since obviously we're the ones working arround "Sogen", is most likely that the opponent will get the minimum of its benefits unless they also work arround those two Types.  The Field Spell and the Types it assists are easy to gather arround to immediately prepare the field, with "Terraforming" looking for the Field Spell" while "Reinforcement of the Army" and "Fire Formation - Tenki" (Which also provides an ATK boost) searches for monsters of the respective Types. Beast-Warriors have a more offensive focus with monsters like "Phantom Beast Wild-Horn" and "Enraged Battle Ox" assuring constant damage, while Warriors are known for its easy summons thanks to the assistance of cards like "Marauding Captain" or "Turret Warrior". And obviously we can stack additional stat effects to make sure our monsters are at their peak performance with cards like "Solidarity", “ Fire Formation - Tensu“,  or "The A. Forces" among others providing additional ATK.

"Sogen" doesn't have much depth to see its benefits. Is a small yet decent stat boost that can make Warriors and Beast-Warriors strong enough to take down various enemies. However, like the rest of Field Spells of its kind, is not a very outstanding ATK and DEF increase when we have alternatives such as "Gaia Power" or "Solidarity" to better work arround with. On the bright side, since many Field Spells also affect the opponent's field, is easier to work arround it if their monsters also get affected by "Sogen". The Field Spell might be far from useful compared to the many alternatives available, but like any of its kind is not that difficult to play with.

Struggling to figure the colors, I tried to make an outfit and I found it funny how this sona looked rather menacing with the mask, the hood and the armor (not posted here), but without all that looks like... yeah, and the size doesn't help at all.
