                                              SoHarlem Salon with Sheila Bridges who will be interview by Veronica Claypool June 19, 2014 6:00PM - 8:00PM Sheila Bridges, a Harlem-based, interior designer and author of the memoir The Bald Mermaid, through deeply personal vignettes, explores questions of identity, femininity, race, success, what it really means to have it all and what it means to stay true to oneself in the face of judgment, criticism and expectations from family, friends, lovers and strangers.

An Evening with Alejandro Anreus - 5/29 6:00 pm

                             Please Join us for our May Salon featuring Alejandro Anreus!

Alejandro Anreus, the people's art historian returns to SoHarlem to discuss three Caribbean masters, Jaime Antonio González Colson, born in Puerto Plata, Domincan Republic;   Mario Carreño, Cuban Artist; and Rosado del Valle, renowned painter, muralist, and the first to work abstractionism in Puerto Rico.

Apart from the obvious education connections between Colson, Carreño and Rosado del Valle, the talk will also highlight the work of three very significant Dominican artists that lived and worked in NYC: Dario Suro, Ada Balcacer and Freddy Rodríguez. - Alejandro Anreus

2013 Gold Winner at the New York Wine & Food Classic Spirits, Tirado Distillery, the Bronx's Artisan Rum & Corn Whiskey Distillery, will be joining us for another evening of tasting their high-quality sprits.
