Before The Beginning - Santana babysitting baby Riley ?
BEFORE THE BEGINNING — three sentences (or more) about something that happened before the plot of my current project
It's more than three sentences oops!
Rachel's dads and Carole went on a cruise and both Rachel and Finn forgot about that when they scheduled Rachel's Swan Lake audition and Finn's job interview on the same day at the same time. Their other friends all had plans, because why wouldn't they? It was Friday. People usually had fun on Fridays, not important career events.
Both of them were debating whether one of them could work out bringing Riley in with them, but then Finn remembered there was one other person they could ask. Rachel immediately turned down his idea, but she eventually gave in after Finn made some very good points that it was their only option.
She packed a full bag of stuff for Riley. They were only going to be gone for about two hours, but she didn't want the girl to be missing anything while they were gone. Rachel also grabbed a huge stack of papers that looked almost like a book.
"What is that?" Finn looked at it confused.
"It's my babysitting book. I put it together in case there would come a day when one of our friends had to babysit Riley. This has instructions and graphics for everything they might need."
Finn was impressed by the answer and Rachel smiled sweetly as she plopped the huge book on the table. She also wrote it for herself, for when she first started babysitting Riley. She wanted to make sure she did everything right and she took notes on everything Finn, Carole, and her dads, and some books from the library, told her about looking after a baby.
Finn called Santana to ask her if she could babysit tonight. After a long rant about how it was rude of him to assume she had no Friday night plans, Santana admitted she had nothing planned and that looking after a baby was very low on her list of things she wanted to do.
"I told you she wouldn't do it." Rachel, who was standing close to Finn so she could hear the conversation, piped up. "She probably doesn't even know how to look after a baby."
"Tell your girlfriend I can definitely look after a baby. I'm the best at it. You know what? Fine, I'll babysit the Tubby Flaming Hot Cheeto. Just drop her off. I'll even do it for free." Santana ranted.
"Thanks Santana, you're a lifesaver!" Finn smiled. Santana could hear Rachel in the background still whining about how this is a bad idea when she hung up.
