okay so soil is a seven foot tall pallas cat tabaxi bard and he is the silliest guy ever

he is thick as a post because he never got the chance to learn anything, he was abandoned in one of those free kitten boxes when he was little but because he was so big he didn't fully fit in the box 😭

his parents got rid of him because he was too much for them to take care of

the only parental figure that he's ever had was only in his life for a year and then randomly disappeared and he's been searching for him in crowds ever since

that guy named him soil because of the colour of his fur, since he found him sleeping in a pit of dirt on his farm when he was a child

soil is a homeless traveller, and with the lute that his father figure gave him when he was small, he's gained so much skill busking since it was the only way to get any money since he has no experience and is against stealing if 'unnecessary' by his own standards

though he isn't very good with people and is so overbearing because of his need for love and attention, he is more street smart than people take him for, but uses this knowledge to be a scaredy cat (excuse my pun)

the only reason he is so stupid is because he never had anyone to teach him anything :(

the reason why his name is soil soyle was because he needed further documentation to get a room for the night with the little gold he had, and couldn't think of a better last name than the one he was given (and forgot how to spell it)

he is asexual but very romantic because he avoids conflict as much as he can, even in battles, and accidentally says very suggestive pickup lines

hates lying and being lied to

he has very specific moods where the stress of performing and trying to be loved gets to him so much that he becomes irritable and upset, which in turn makes him feel incredibly guilty, so he avoids talking about it (avoidance is kind of his thing)
