GET READY FOR A LITTLE LENGTHY POST BUT KEEP READING FOR DEETS ON THE PICS Hi everyone! 😁 How's your Tuesday? So... I've been working on something for a long time that I figured I'd share! I haven't been posting pictures of my work for awhile, and I sort dropped off the face of the planet... But it's mainly because I found something new I really wanted to try. I've been writing and drawing my own comic, and I've been at it seriously since January. I don't know the specifics of my publishing it yet, but I do want to publish it online so anyone anywhere can read it (publicity and advertising will either make or break this thing). I'm really super excited too, because I've had this story idea since I was like, 12. So... Just about 10 years now. If you're wondering, "how in the world does she go from painting to comics," I'm kind of all, "I KNOW, right?!" But it's surprisingly a no-brainer for me, because as a kid I always drew my own picture books (ask Mom and Dad). And this story, since it's been living in my head for so long, deserved to be told. At least at some point. These are my girls. Robin and Raven. They're sisters who live in a time and place where their country is fractured and corrupt, and they are descended from the family that originally oversaw their country. Their story involves them discovering their heritage, and journeying across the country and healing it while uprooting the evil regime. I'm seriously, like, geeking out. I have no set ETA for the first issue, but I wanted to try and do it sometime next year. If you want updates whenever this does happen (PLEASE let it happen), keep up with my posts, or ask me ☺️ Plus it keeps me accountable and gives me no excuse but to get the story out there.
