It wasn't too difficult a mission - though... it'd admittedly given him more grief than he'd have liked.
He'd just come to expect and accept that things would forever be more complicated than they should've been. It was just his brand of luck. Still... it would have been nice to not have a surprise gaggle of Heartless try to ambush him. Though the trade off of managing to scrape by on his own so far from city walls and safety, was that the security systems were back online and able to run just as smoothly as before.
Downside was he looked like shit.
When he finds himself going through the motions upon his return, dragging the pages over to his desk as he moves to grumble and brew some coffee - he contemplates taking a potion, but puts it on the back burner as he reasons he should probably get things sorted out first before he does anything else. Healing made him drowsy, and he.... preferred to be on top of things, ready to fall over or not.
Hunched over his pages in the corner of the old Wizards home, Leon keeps to himself, hearing the idle tapping of Cid at the main computer, and with a huff, Leon moves to stand once he realizes the noise was all too distracting for him. Mind made up and irritation burning behind his decision, he makes for the door to leave. He'd get things done at home where he could heal up and pass out afterwards.
Before he can really follow through any further, he doesn't manage to make it far before he finds himself bumping into another person on his way out. Stumbling back, his current state being given away as less than functional, Leon hisses with a low scowl as he tries to keep his files in hand.
When he glances up though, it seems life decided to toss him yet another curveball.
"Cloud?"
The other man wasn't who he'd been expecting to be in the way. Then again, he hadn't been expecting anyone if at all. For a moment, he forgets about his aches and pains, the nausea he still feels, only because of his distraction for the moment from the other suddenly showing up. He only remembers his current battered state when Cloud's brows furrow, eyes narrowing in a bit of concern before he reaches out to catch his chin between gloved fingers.
It's silent for a few moments, and though he can pull back at any moment, he's stunned for a moment on what to do next, what to react with, whether he should slap the hand away or not...
Blinking a few times, he swallows thickly, feeling another bout of fatigue roll over him like waves. He needed to get back and heal - some rest was definitely needed soon. Before he can move to swat the hand away, the other speaks, leaving him to pause mid raise.
❝ You don’t have to tell me how you got it. I just wanted to see. ❞
Strange.
Face screwing up, Leon carries on in lightly batting the hand off and away, averting his stare down to the pages in his hand, before he shakes his head and raises it slightly. A small gesture to the report-work as he answers in a tired tone. Well. Tired before it melts away into some concern.
"Mission. Wait... it's not that bad is it?"
