A yawn passed Ada's lips as she and Gilbert made their way down the hallway towards her room. Their hands were lightly entwined, just barely holding on; sleepiness the reasoning for their lack of a proper grip. Once in front of the door, Ada turned slightly and Gilbert was already there, leaning down to gently press their lips together, and Ada's hand came up to hold his cheek gently, a little unwilling to let him go just yet. When they finally did, she took his hand in both hers and her emerald eyes took on a slight pleading tone to them.
"Stay with me tonight?"
Gilbert paused and blinked at her, digesting her words, a bit taken aback by them to be honest. There was a lot of hesitation coming from him if he was going to be frank, and a lot of things to consider if he were even going to agree to such a thing. Lifting his gaze up to the bedroom behind her, it was an innocent enough request coming from her; she simply wanted him to be with her while she slept. As the seconds turned to a minute, Ada squeezed his hand and a "Please?" passed her lips again.
A small sigh was heaved, he was thinking he'd probably regret it, but he had a hard time telling the Vessalius no. There would just have to be some precautions taken in the morning so that they weren't seen. Nodding finally, Ada smiled slightly and turned into the room, Gilbert right behind her. The door made a gentle 'click' as it was closed behind them and they were given their privacy. Ada was already in her nightgown, so all Gilbert had to do was lose his jacket, shoes, and his pants if he were to be so bold. Ada started to help him undress as they reached her bedside, but he shook his head and said he was fine, so she complied and sat herself down on the edge, pushing herself up towards where she normally lay.
Gilbert followed suit climbing onto the bed in silence, laying on his right side beside her. Tugging the blanket up over both of them, Ada's own arm wrapped securely around Gil's waist. No doubt the Nightray's cheeks were probably a healthy shade of red, but it balanced out since Ada's had color to them as well. Her first time sharing a bed with another man that wasn't her brother, and the tone between them was completely different than when she and Oz were little and she would sneak into his bed looking for some comfort. Gilbert was her significant other, her lover as well if they were ever to take their relationship to a higher level, which Ada wasn't sure if they would or not. But that was far from her mind right now regardless, she was more focusing on how comfortable she was in bed with him; having someone to snuggle up to and lay against, someone else in the bed keeping it warm. She always felt safe with him, now she felt safe at him when she was at her most vulnerable (aside from physical intimacy).
Pressing her face into chest again, a content sigh passed her lips as her muscles relaxed further and she could feel herself slipping further into a state of unconsciousness.
