Day 2: Mindless
“Vhenan!” Solas reached out for the elf, but very quickly pulled his hand away, like the air around her was hot. His face was twisted in a mix of fear and panic, it had been so long since he had seen her. So long and he had feared something had happened. He had to see her and now he had only seen the back of her head, her long hair now chopped short, a seemingly dull blade hacking at her once beautiful locks. It wasn’t until she turned and he saw the mark on her forehead. His stomach dropped.
“I’m sorry, do I know you? May I help you?” Her voice was emotionless, her still beautiful eyes now a void, staring into the darkness. He couldn’t feel her anymore; her magic was gone. He knew something was wrong when he could no longer reach her in her dreams, when the image of the wolf no longer watched over her as she slept.
He had to resist the urge to pull her to him, to try every spell imaginable to make her her again at that very moment.
“Veowyn, I-“ he stopped, not knowing what to say to her. His words twisted in his throat.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know who that is. Did you know her?”
What did she mean? She was her, she—
—had been made tranquil. Mindless, empty and void of all magic and emotion.
What had he done?

Anyway it’s a day late but have this realy angsty piece about a world where Lavellan gets captured by some Templar’s post Trespasser and made tranquil to “suppress the inquisitions forces”. Solas comes looking for her because he can no longer find her in her dreams and his worst fears had come true.
