I'm making a fan species for wings of fire called daywings, they're supposed to be the nightwings counterparts. Anyone who knows stuff about the sun past the basics PLEASE tell me

Nightwings powers depend on if there is a full moon and how many of the moons are dull since they're world has 3.

But the sun... Is always there unless it's cloudy. And while I could make it that Daywings just live in very cloudy/foggy environments the moment they leave those environments they are extremely overpowered in my opinion. They're powers consist of seeing the past, illusions, and possibly mind control

I'm trying to figure out what would determine if a Daywing gets powers, what determines if those powers are particularly powerful, and so on.

Beams of sunlight peeked through the dark chamber of the Great Temple of Ramses II illuminating the pharaoh's statue -- as they do every year on February 22 and October 22. Historians believe the 3,000-year-old temple's solar alignment was meant to mark the ancient king's birth and his coronation.
