Throwing off sparks — My best friend visited for the weekend from across the country and we tried our hands at different types of solar printing - first with a turmeric solution and second with solarfast. Solarfast continues to be my enemy (haven’t had a single print turn out so far) but at least now I have some cool textured and toned paper to work on.
Sun-printing is an easy technique to create stunning fabrics. Using plants and other objects you have lying around, you can achieve marvelous results. In this video, I show you how to do sun-printing and share some tricks to get eye-catching results!

Sun printing is great fun, no two are the same. I use these backgrounds in my sun print embroidery kits, and thought you might like to see the process. You can either have a go yourself or buy one of my kits and make yourself some art. It is easy, and suitable for beginners.
im forget about one thing, after your fabric completely dry, soak and wash with bathsoap or any shampoo, to release the remaining dye, and fix the pattern.
