Solar Storm meet the cast part 1!

These are the first three in my lineup for the main cast of my comic series Solar Storm.

THE PLOT: the world which Solar Storm lives in a world ruled by anthro horses, some with wings, some without. Those lucky enough to have wings have the chance to participate in the sport of aero racing. And those even luckier and more skilled get to fly in the professional leagues.

SOLAR STORM: Our titular bitchular, Storm is a 28 year old racer in the 3 star league racing for the Lakes Region Cyclones as their star player. Skilled and charismatic, Storm is a fan favorite on the course, but a bit of a diva in private. Behind his himbo mask is a smart, determined, and sometimes cold personality. He's no stranger to hard work and thinks his peers need a reminder of that at times.

FOOLS GOLD: or "Piro" as he's known more casually is a big hulking machine of a 4 star racer. He's a member of the South Shore Threshers team as their short format specialist. Short format races tend to be rough and jostly with rival racers relying on fisticufs as a major factor in deciding who makes the finish first (or at all). He's a loud, proud, and rough player with a bit of a superiority complex. He's frequently put down by his team captain and has the least successes on record for the team. He tries very hard to prove himself but, while he won't admit it, he lets the negativity of those around him get to his head. His saving grace is that he has a loving family. His wife, Smoking Gun, is a fellow member of the Threshers and they are proud parents to their young daughter, Holy Smoke (aka Holly). Additionally he also has his happy-go-lucky younger sister, Gold Sphinx, on the team as well. Having his wife and daughter, as well as his sister in his corner give him a much needed confidence boost when it matters.

GOLD SPIKE: And old, retired, disgraced former racer, Spike is a widower living by himself in a shack in a central coastal town. He's Piro and Sphinx's father with a distant and strained relationship to his kids, especially his eldest, Piro. He now lives out his days making ends meet largely through mediating illegal gambling scams on unsanctioned races. In his prime he was a 4 star racer like his son and daughter but a series of unfortunate events throughout his lifetime got him addicted to drugs, cost him his spot in the league, and put him on the path to infamy amongst both the public and his own family.
