So happy!! :) Cultivating this blog has meant a lot to me, as it has been one of my favorite little acts of resistance.

Regardless of these good news (thank you @staff Tumblr Trust & Safety!!), I'll still spread out my solarpunkfairy internet garden on a wider scale! I have huge appreciation for the my fellow solarpunks and the community built here, and I'd love to help it become more robust.

For a long time I've been wanting to continue my webzine. I wanted to make it a downloadable zine as well as a newsletter, but due to lack of time, I'll continue it on the wordpress for now (and perhaps co-post it to the dreamwidth)

It's the third ass I encounter this week, but by far the most violent comment.

On one hand, the more people that can avoid hateful content like this the better. Multiple reports can maybe shine light on the violence better for tumblr to address it.

On the other hand, there's so many and it occurs to me maybe it's a waste of time to give focus to each one encountered?

@solarpunkfairy is back online! :)

So happy to announce I got @solarpunkfairy back! Tumblr support fixed the problem really quickly after I sent my e-mail. No hacking was involved, just some stuff got flagged as spam. But they e-mailed back, apologized for the error, and restored my tumblr so everything is back to normal! c:

For now I'll be updating the rest of my social media garden (links here), doing backups, and the like. I feel very energized now to spread to other avenues.

absolutely heartbroken. After so much hard work, my Solarpunkfairy blog just disappeared.

Trying to see what I can do about it but not holding my breath. I can't even reserve the name anymore bc it says the url isn't available. But when you go to @solarpunkfairy nothing shows up.

Super heartbroken. I poured a lot of hours into organizing it and filling it with a lot of educational resources and anti fascist posts. The blog had even developed a solid set of fellow solarpunk lovers. :(

I've been mentally preparing myself for this to happen one day because of the nature of the anti fascist solarpunk themes, but... damn. I didn't expect it to happen without a single warning.

WE ARE SO BACK

I took a break to focus on my livelihood, but the hiatus took even longer when I realized I lost my credentials. 🥲

I finally regained access so I'm looking forward to posting more this year. Both here and in the main wordpress blog. But I have indeed missed a lot.

The intensified horrors in Gaza of the past year, and the preventable global disasters brought on by the climate crisis all have been horrific to witness, and obviously even more horrific to experience.

My heart goes to every victim, as well as every survivor.

Personally, I can only strength and healing in the warmth of community and grassroots mutual aid. And my hope only survives thanks to those who speak up and continue to raise their fists against fascism.

It is true now and forever that everyone deserves to live freely in a safe world. Everyone deserves a roof over their head, a warm plate of food, healthcare, and education.

So we keep doing what we can to protect human rights. Let's protect each other's flames when they waver. It is in togetherness that we can prevail.

Keep growing, keep learning. 🌱 Now more than ever, hope is an act of rebellion.

small tiny late summer update

So I've been taking a bit of a tumblr break.

This past summer I laser-focused on moving and when I was done I went overseas to visit my partner for a few weeks. Also been trying to revive my independent business so I can get that income flowing, and overall my plate has been pretty full.

However, I've mostly been MIA because dividing this solarpunk subblog from my main personal account made it more difficult to keep up since I can't access it from the app anymore. I also don't have a laptop, so I'm nearly strictly bound to my PC for this.

Regardless, I'm trying to establish a work schedule for myself that will permit me to invest more time in my priorities and that includes this tumblr as well as the wordpress blog. :)

Anyway, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. Keep growing and keep learning, buds! I'll be back on a regular schedule as soon as I'm able to. Take care~!

Okay, so earlier I tagged something “gender critical” by mistake and I made at least one person uncomfortable by appearing like I support transphobic views. :(

I am very sorry to them and to anyone else who may have been shook up by that. It was 100% a mistake. English is my second language and sometimes I make atrocious mistakes. 😭 Sometimes I confidently translate in my head without verifying, and end up embarrassed and confusing terms. I genuinely thought it meant something more along the lines of “critical of the imposition of traditional gender roles.”

For whatever it’s worth, I am a Puerto Rican nonbinary queer person. It is important to me that this blog accurately represents my philosophies and political views in a respectful way that contributes to collective improvement of marginalized communities. I do not identify with TERF ideologies and I try to work on my internalized transphobia as much as I can.

This error escaped me and it’s very unfortunate because I honestly hate misunderstandings. Regardless, I promise I will continue trying my very best to be responsible and intentional with the information I share.

blog updates

UM. The curse of adhd-related belated realizations. 🙄

I was waiting to make the next solarpunk blog post about Shark Week but I just realized I could have done something for pride month! dang dang.

Well, I'll try to whip something up together by the end of the month. I've also got some personal things (I'm moving this Summer and yeah, I'm really looking forward to the gas expenses /s).

Either way, everyday is queer pride day and all that stuff. <3 It's already noted in my blog to make a spot specifically for queer/trans visibility, resources, and organizations beyond pride month.

extra blog updates: I'm working on creating a structure so I can keep posting with proper scheduling. :)
