synopsis: when dani accidentally sends a photo meant for her boyfriend to the nerd she sits beside in math class, she panics. thinking she has to delete the photo from his camera roll, dani initiates hang outs, but the admittingly pretty loser is a lot more interesting than she gave him credit for. juggling being the captain of her cheer team, friendship, and a math course she doesnt want to take. dani doesn't have time to deal with complicated feelings for someone who's the complete opposite of her, especially when shes in a seemingly perfect relationship.

the two of you met at a cafe when you paid for her order, only for it to literally be the entirety of katseye's order. she felt bad and tried to offer you like a photo or an autograph, bc she assumed you paid bc you knew who she was. when you state you don't and that you don't care and was just trying to be nice, she thanks you.

you actually start talking when she runs into you again and you offer her your sweater so she can escape from the paparazzi. she gave you her number from there

the two of you really hit it off, especially since you literally refused to learn who look her up at first

you two started dating about a year after meeting, it took her about another year to reference you anywhere relating to katseye (so anywhere other than her own personal private account)

fans freaked the fuck out when megan dropped the "oh yeah my boyfriend brought that for me" they tried for months to get any details. the pap couldn't even get a photo of the two of you.

for the first year the eyekons where divided in you not exsisting at all or you being another famous person and hybe not letting megan say anything. bc you were an unknown person, megan was getting a lot of dating rumors' which the two of you thought were hilarious.

you got along well with the rest of the kats and they appreciated your want to stay off the internet completely.

megans family also loved you, especially with how well you rounded out their daughter.

on a live with lara, megan gets asked how her relationship is going. lara was the one who read it out and megan went silent. the eyekons panicked, did you and megan break up?

megan on her side, was looking just over the camera to where you were sitting reading a new book. when you noticed, lara automatically muted the stream and megan got off camera to ask if she could tell the eyekons about you two having gotten married. and seeing that hybe had given the premission a while ago for megan to go public with this info it was just up to you.

after agreeing, megan asked if you wanted to introduce, when you agreed to that as well, megan smiled and moved to sit in front of the camera again.

lara quickly unmuted and excused herself (she walked and stole your spot).

eyekons were so worried because oh no you and megan had broken up.

however instead of that, some random man takes lara's spot and megan is looking down at her hand.

when she looks up she's blushing and giddy, she points to you and is like "this is my husband" and the chat freaks the fuck out.

dani had been staring at this math question for almost an hour. she was so close. the answer key called for 3x+19 but she had 3x+15 and she couldn't figure out what was wrong with her math so far.

then dani heard a rapid knock at the door. it wasn't like megan's who liked to go fast but add a beat, no this knocking was hectic. there was no rhythmic beat. whatever it was about, it was important.

she stood up from her spot at her kitchen table, grimacing when the chair squeaked loudly against the dark hardwood flooring. the knocking kept speeding up, and dani briefly thought that maybe manon had forgotten her keys then remembered that the taller girl had plans with sophie tonight.

when dani finally got to the door, she checked the peephole. only to see jonah standing with a dark grey sweater. his hoodie was up so dani couldn't see his eyes but she could tell it was him by the bottom part of his face. she could see as he chewed on his lip then let it got before knocking again, glancing up at the door. the slight change in angle let dani see just that little bit more and she realized that he'd been crying.

after coming to that realization, dani unlocked the door and opened it at a speed she wasn't even sure was possible. she swung the door open and reached out for his arm in an attempt to comfort him. except when she tried to pull the man closer, jonah wouldn't budge.

"dani." he said it softly, like he couldn't imagine that he was even saying that.

"jonah, baby? what happened are you okay?" she tried to touch him again and he stepped back, shrinking into himself. "come inside please." dani pleaded softly.

jonah shook his head and took a deep breath. he brought his hand up to run through his hair. thats when dani noticed the bandages tightly wrapped around jonah's knuckles, dried blood having soaked through. "i need to break up with you." he said quietly and dani took a sharp intake of air.

did he believe the cheating allegations, she knows she hadn't been the most loyal but she hadn't cheated on jonah. or maybe he knew about her developing crush on yn. "is it because of the-"

jonah cut her off. "ibeatynup." he said quickly, looking dani in the eyes for the first time and dani tried to decipher what her boyfriend had said.

"what?" she asks, trying to bring jonah into her apartment again.

jonah's gaze dropped down to his hands and dani noticed how violently they were shaking. "i beat up yn." he said clearly, turning his hands over to look at his knuckles. "i was seeing the rumours then someone dmed me with, what at the time, seemed like actual proof. my emotions went all wack and i beat up yn in front of the court yard." jonah explained, rubbing his eyes. "fuck." he muttered. "i know you're not the type to cheat dani. i also know yn isn't the type to homewreck."

he looked up when dani didn't answer, only to see her eyes narrow in on him. "you what?"

jonah nodded. "i know." dani couldn't believe how pathetic jonah sounded right now.

"is he okay?" dani asks, already turning to reach for her jacket.

"he's in the hospital, but the visiting hours are done." jonah explained softly.

"how would you know." dani's voice came out with an edge.

"i stayed. it's the least i could do. although, conan and olivia wouldn't stop glaring at me." the last part was mostly to himself and dani wasn't sure how to feel. this was too much information so quickly.

jonah spoke again before dani could continue. "i'm breaking up with you because if i can't trust you or you can't trust me then theirs no point." he takes a breath and continues. "i don't like the person i became today. its obviously something i have to work on." jonah nods like hes done and his eyes light up like he's remembering something. "yn wanted me to tell you that you shouldn't blame yourself from this and i agree with him."

dani wanted to sob, it didn't help that jonah turned heel and walked away. dani stood in that doorway for what must have been a while, because suddenly, sophia was at her side, leading dani into the house and running her nails up and down her arm in an attempt to comfort dani.
