Finally i have some progress to show on Romanced Solas!
I interlined the dupioni with silk organza by hand basting it :']
Next is lining the top and attaching the lower tabard. Then I can move on to embroidery! Yippee

Tagged by @perpetualmaladaptivedaydream. Thank you! I'm afraid I have nothing Gale related to share. I'm back in Solavellan Hell ( will I ever escape? Do I want to?). This is honestly taking forever because I want to get it just right. It's a one shot that takes place after Solas and Theneras move to the Lighthouse. Solas as usual is feeling massive amounts of guilt and she has to talk to the Caretaker about it.
The Caretaker inclined their head, spectral eyes glowing “Greetings, Heart," they intoned in a resonate voice.
“I have a name,” she answered irritably. “You are allowed to use it. Calling me the Wolf’s Heart sounds like I belong to him.”
The Caretaker moved close enough for her to feel the Fade energy radiating off them. “Do you not? Your hearts beat as one. You belong to him as much as he belongs to you.”
“Then why don’t you call him, Theneras’ Heart,” she grumbled under her breath. Taking another bite of the apple, she allowed silence to stretch between them like a taught band on the verge of breaking.
The Caretaker broke it first. “You search for him,” they finally said.
“Always,” she confirmed, a trace of amusement in her voice. “Do you know where he is?”
“The Wolf has asked me not to tell you.” Her brows rose a little. That explained their absence. Rather than refuse to answer her questions, they had simply made themselves unavailable.
“But you are going to tell me, otherwise you wouldn’t be here,” she said.
Again, silence stretched between them. She rubbed her eyes. She’d been awake less than an hour and already her head was throbbing. Speaking with spirits often had that effect on her.
“I will not break the Wolf’s trust,” they said. “However, if you should guess it?”
Guess? Solas was obviously in the midst of yet another internal crisis and the Caretaker wanted her to guess where he was?
She exhaled slowly, glaring at the spirit. Shadows leapt and danced around the outbuildings, mirroring the shadows always present in her heart and mind.
“You want me to play a guessing game?” she said aloud, patience already as thin as a strand of embroidery floss.
The Caretaker dipped its head in the barest hint of a nod.

The design successor to this post!
I played with/defined shapes more in the tabard. I'm thinking about red vines because I love that when you romance Fenris in DA2, he acquires red details. It's such a fiercely romantic addition. But I'm not sure if it will be too much with the gold dupioni?
The incredible Ghil Dirthalen created and posted the Dragon Age elven typefaces to bsky and I love the badge ribbon culture at dragon con so, uh oh! I'm making ribbons. What would you want to receive in elven on a badge ribbon at con?

i might stuff the stole a bit more but i'm really proud of the side by side! (the undershirt with the sleeves no longer fits on my mannequin RIP)

-sew snaps to hold everything in place
-sew the belt
-attach my little velvet leaves
-i'm making a very simple leather wrapped staff... originally i did want to sculpt the halla head on top but that will have to be a future addition! i'm outta time
