❝ i knew it was going to my favourite client when they told me i had somebody waiting. ❞ eve smiled easily as she closed the door to the private room behind her. delicate fingers click the lock into place with ease and she moved further into the room, fingertips brushing over the nape of his neck. fingers close around his shoulder and eve settled herself in nico’s lap, smile growing as her fingers interlock around his neck. ❝ i haven’t been having the greatest night. ❞ a pout grew on her lips and her fingers tangled in his hair, a soft huff escaping her mouth. ❝ it’s certainly getting better, though. now i’ve seen you. ❞ most people would fall for everything eve would tell them, about how they were her favourite and seeing them would lift her mood. the thing was, for most people that eve said that to, it was a lie, just a way to get a little more money out of them. with nico, it was actually true. there were times were she didn’t necessarily want to go into work, but knowing she would be seeing him made it worthwhile.
