Continuing from this post, Shun Nakamura stated that the reasoning behind the initial name “Venice” for Silver was for the simple reason that “it’s a character that lives there” (in relation to the Venice inspired city state of Soleanna) meaning that Silver has been intended to live in Soleanna from his very conception.

So combined with everything else, we can infer that Silver does live in Soleanna, in both the future and Sonic’s time period.

Using VrChat to explore the Colorful Mall map in Sonic Racing Crossworlds, specifically the cinema and food court sections that's not usually accessible in-game, and Y'ALL, WHEN I SAY I CAN SNIFF OUT SOME SONIC 06 REFERENCES, I MEAN IT

You'll notice some of the "casts" of those fake movie posters include things like "Iblis Taker", "Golem", "Titan", "Iblis Worm" and "Mephiles Worm"

These were deliberate choices

I am telling y'all, they're planning something for the 20th Anniversary of Sonic 06 this year

Enough time has passed that the game has become a cornerstone of the franchise in a way. We've been fed little crumbs the last couple of years with things like Speed Simulator, Sonic Dash, Forces Battle, the Sonic Channel art, literally that "Flames of Disaster" thing in the Knuckles TV show
